As you may know, energy prices across America have fallen dramatically since the 2008 bubble. In fact, they have fallen so far that electricity and natural gas rates are at the lowest level since 2003! To help our clients take advantage of this once in a decade opportunity, BidURenergy (BUE) is hosting the 2012 Virtual PowerExpoTM March 27th through March 29th. The PowerExpo takes place within BUE's "PowerPit!", which is a virtual arena where third party suppliers compete to serve Commercial and Industrial natural gas and electricity accounts. Here is a brief overview of the PowerPit!: 1.There is never any cost or obligation to sign with a third party supplier. 2.Clients typically save 10%-25% on the supply side of their electric bill using BUE's PowerPit! blind auction platform. 3.BUE performs exhaustive due diligence on third party suppliers and ensures they are highly regarded in the industry. 4.In an average week, BUE saves clients more than $500000. Analysts predict collective savings will surpass the $8 million mark during this year's PowerExpo. Space is limited to the first 500 respondents. It is recommended that you do not delay, as it is quite likely we will be at capacity two weeks from now. |

Some Florida drivers are spending nearly $6 a gallon to fill up their gas tanks. According to GasBuddy.com, motorists are shelling out $5.89 for a gallon of regular gas at a Shell station in Lake Buena Vista, topping out at $5.99 a gallon for premium. It doesn't get better at a Suncoast Energy station in Orlando, where drivers are paying $5.79 for a gallon of regular. "Prices over in the Disney World area are much higher than any other place in Florida," Jessica Brady, AAA spokeswoman, told CBS Tampa, adding that people regularly complain about gas prices in that area. Transcript by www.newsy.com BY JING LIU ANCHOR CHRISTINA HARTMAN You're watching multisource global video news analysis from Newsy. While Americans are complaining about sudden spike in gas prices, the Republican candidates are treating is as a new weapon against President Obama. Here's Exhibit A, courtesy CNN. SANTORUM "All of a sudden they're going to be hit with the same force of wind that hit us in 2008 in the summer that caused us to go into a recession. All because of the radical environmentalist policies of this president." But The New York Times notes — the Obama administration is preparing to strike back. "A counterattack being planned by the Obama re-election team in Chicago is expected to point out, among other things, Mitt Romney's actions to raise gas taxes when he was governor of Massachusetts. And Mr. Obama's Democratic allies on Capitol Hill are eager to renew a nationwide discussion about tax subsidies to oil companies." Getting political with gas prices is nothing new. In 2004, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry blamed President Bush for the $1.80 average gas price. And according to Ology, President Obama used the same strategy in 2008 to criticize President Bush's record on gas price. "'We need a President who is looking out for families in Indiana, not just multi-national corporations, and that's the kind of President I intend to be.'" And now it's Mr. Obama's turn to be the target. But is there anything he or any other president can really ... |

www.ctvvancouverisland.ca http VICTORIA -- A .20 cent price hike at the pumps in Victoria Tuesday may be small compared to what's coming. Fuel Analyst Roger McKnight believes drivers could be in for fuel costs reaching as high as $1.50/litre: "I'm anticipating the highest gasoline prices in history by the end of April". The news comes hours before the province announced its plan to pump the breaks on the carbon tax. The next tax increase will go ahead as scheduled in July but after that the province plans to conduct a full review. Finance Minister Kevin Falcon says, "We will carry out a comprehensive review, examining the taxes impact". The tax has been in effect since 2008. Environmentalists say to put it on hold is a step backwards. Follow Joe Perkins on Twitter: www.twitter.com |

Gas prices have been on the rise over the last several weeks. I recorded this February 21, 2012 and the Arco in Playa del Rey listed regular gas at $3.99 9/10. It is anticipated that we will see gas prices go past $5.00 very soon. |

If you've filled up your gas tank within the past two weeks you probably noticed it--an increase in prices. Up six cents nationwide and the average price in Texas for regular unleaded gasoline is 47 cents higher than this time last year. A big reason is because oil companies aren't buying or producing as much gasoline much right now. As a result retailers and refining companies are having to up the prices to make up for the money lost from a decrease in oil purchasing. More and more drivers are slamming the gas pump with more and more anger towards the amount of money they're dishing out to fill up. "I don't like it. I think they need to, the Republicans, need to get out the way and let the president do something," said Mosevelt Jackson. Mosevelt Jackson only puts $10 int he tank to get him to and from all his errands. He's not the only one putting just enough in the tank. "I put 40 in because that's all I got," said John Hotto who was getting gas. The average price of regular gas nationwide is $3.52 a gallon. Here in Texas, it's $3.45. One reason is European debt. "Several European countries have had their credit rate downgraded. Greece is going through a lot of economic uncertainties and these other Euro Zone countries are trying to shore up that country," said AAA public affairs representative Sarah Shimmer. And... "The geopolitical-geo-economics tensions both between United States, Europe and Iran is definitely also contributing to impacting marketing prices," said ... |

BY VICTORIA CRAIG The evidence is already at the pump. Oil markets are trading at nine-month highs -— reaching levels the global economy hasn't seen since 2008. Bloomberg says the reason behind the sudden spike is due to Iran's decision to stop oil exports to France and Britain — which it could soon extend to other countries. "The risk of an all out war in the Persian Gulf. Iran just threatened to take preemptive action to strike out against the West if it continues to threaten Iran's national interest. One of those key interests, the ability to sell oil." But with conflict over oil shipments to countries overseas, why are US consumers seeing an impact on the price of gas? Fox News breaks it down. "The world produces, what, 85, 86 million barrels a day and we use about 85 or 84 million barrels. So the leeway, the pad, is so thin..." Gas prices are up nationally. But how much are we talking? Fox Business reports gas prices have never been this high during this time of the year — and explains why US consumers are at the mercy of global markets. "The gas price up nationally to $3.57 a gallon for regular 25 cents since the start of the year. We're watching very closely what's happening in Iran because you know, that's outside of our control..." If oil prices continue their rapid increase, what can you expect to pay in the near future? On NBC's "Today," Jim Cramer describes what the impact is could be on the average consumer's pocketbook. "We're probably going to go to five ... |
